2. Snake Plant: A Hardy Air-Purifying Plant That Adapts Effortlessly to Dim Environments

The snake plant, also called Sansevieria or mother-in-law’s tongue, is another plant famous for its ability to thrive on neglect. It also improves indoor air quality by filtering toxins such as benzene and formaldehyde, which makes it a great addition to enclosed spaces.

If your home also features shaded outdoor areas, you can explore similar shade-tolerant plants in pots that thrive on north-facing balconies.

Its tall, vertical leaves make it an excellent decorative choice for corners, small floor spaces, or narrow shelves. It performs well in shade and needs watering only once every few weeks, making it extremely low-maintenance.
