5. Boston Fern: A Dense, Lush Fern That Flourishes in Wet and Shaded Spaces

Boston ferns are naturally found in shaded forests, which makes them particularly suited to bathrooms with high humidity and low light. Their vibrant fronds add rich texture and volume, creating a dramatic decorative effect.

While bathrooms are naturally moist, you can learn what actually works for boosting humidity to keep your ferns thriving in other parts of the home too.

Because Boston ferns prefer continually moist soil and dislike dry air, the steam produced during showers provides exactly the environment they need.
